Hi all,
Welcome to The Woman Advocate.
The Woman Advocate is the name the Lord gave for the blog we will use as we journey through healings of various kinds.
A tool of healing.
A type of healing.
The first topic will span over many of this year's blog posts: anxiety. Anxiety is an ugly and deadly (killing dreams and joy) thing that has no place in your life.
.
.
.
Let us begin.
What is discrimination?
Discrimination refers to unfair treatment of others. This type of treatment is unkind, inconsiderate, and unreasonable; there is no equality, no fairness. (Oxford University Press, n.d.) It occurs when one person or group of people feels superior to another and uses that superiority to bring undue hardship upon the assumed inferior group.
Discrimination, in turn, causes poor mental health to those on the receiving end of it. Little research has been done on the correlation. (Savoca et al., 2025) Nonetheless, the Bible tells us not to consider anyone common or unclean. (English Standard Version Bible, 2001, Acts 10:28.) There is One who created us all in His image and likeness. Read the Biblical account of Peter's visit with Cornelius for more insight on this.
Being treated unfairly has a negative impact on one's mental health. Anxiety, for example, can develop as a result. Anxiety causes a person to worry about a variety of things, so much so that their quality of life is diminished. Carroll, C.M. (2025)
Being discriminated against can cause anxiety because a person may be concerned about their self-worth, whether they will be harmed, how they will find acceptance, and so on. Alternatively, someone with anxiety could present themselves as if everything is in order. They create the image that they do not need support while crumbling internally due to life's or one's own demands.
It is critical to understand that you DO matter. Receive God's acceptance and learn to accept yourself. Knowing that you do not have to earn God's unconditional love brings an ease that only He can provide.
To be clear: anxiousness is not from God. He did not pick it for us or grant it to us. Therefore, we must get rid of it. Before we get rid of anything, we must:
1. Recognize that it exists.
2. Acknowledge that we have it.
3. Recognize that it is wrong.
That is why you're here. As the God-proclaimed 'Women's Advocate,' I am here. We are here to help. Here to be. Jasmine Be
Until next time...
Here are some Bible verses to read and meditate on as we journey through this new revelation.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
2. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
3. And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? (Matthew 6:27)
4. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
5. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 8:10)
